Sabrina Voltaire

I am a graduate student in Human Development and Family Studies at The Pennsylvania State University. I am interested in parenting practices in infancy and early childhood as they promote children's social and emotional competence.

My research interests focus on parenting practices at bedtime and nighttime. I am interested in the underlying mechanisms tthrough which the quantity and quality of these practices relate to infant sleep quality. I also wish to investigate early indicators of emotion regulation such as sleep consolidation and attachment security.

I am also passionate about connecting research to practice through community based interventions. I am interested in optimizing the developmement and implementation of prevention programs. Moreover, I want to examine characteristics and infrastructures of international communities that are conducive to effective and sustainable implementation of evidence based programs promoting healthy youth development.
